TwitterJack Dorsey, a software engineer, became well-known upon his and his Co-Founder's creation of the widely used social and informational network we know as Twitter. The network was created on March 21, 2006 and released to the public on July 13, 2006 after rounds of careful tweaking and perfecting. The purpose of the site is for users to be able to follow and post conversations about what they find interesting. For example, many people follow famous musicians or actors and actresses to keep up with what they're working on. The posts are called Tweets and users can make up a headlines and then attach information, pictures, and other media content on the body paragraphs of the Tweets. Users have the option of posting and contributing to the conversations or just following and reading what other people write. Either way, they stay involved and know what's happening. Twitter is based out of San Fransisco, California but is used all over the world. Because of the site's high popularity, the site now comes in multiple languages so people from all over the world can stay involved which creates a positive global impact, uniting the world.
Square
Because of the huge success of Twitter, Dorsey was inspired to invent another life changing device. He decided to call his new invention "Square". Square is a squared-shaped electronic device that attaches to IPhones, Ipads, and Andriods through the headphone jack. The device allows the user to swipe their credit or debit cards, choose the amount of money they owe to the recieving company or person, and then for confirmation purposes, sign their name. Square can also send paperless reciepts through either a text or an email. Now people are bause their checking accounts no matter where they are.
